Pediatric Eye Services

Dr. Longmuir offers comprehensive eye examinations for all ages of children.

She has years of experience working with children of all ages.  She has fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus.  Dr. Longmuir is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and has had extra training in Pediatric Ophthalmology as a fellow in 2007-2008. From 2008-2014, she trained future pediatric ophthalmologists who now practice all over the country.  

We have a changing table and a private waiting room for the children during the wait for the dilated examination.  We try to make the exam a pleasant experience.  

Eye drops are necessary but we make this a quick as possible and each child gets a prize for undergoing an eye examination or procedure. Scheduling the eye examinations when your child does not have to go back to school is a good idea as the drops can make the eyes blurry.
